My Bio

  I was born in 1953 in Cincinnati, Ohio. I moved to Charleston, South Carolina in 1970. From the time I graduated high school until I started to paint I was collecting art books, subscribing to art magazines and going to galleries and art museums and keeping a sketchbook. I have painted in oil, acrylic, watercolor and gouche. I now primarily work in acrylic and charcoal. I have fabricated sculpture in steel, wood, and steel/wood combinations. I have cast sculpture in bronze, aluminum, iron, plaster and wax.I attended The School of Arts, College of Charleston. In 2001 I exhibited a sculpture in Young Contemporaries Juried Art Exhibition. The juror was Graham Nickson. I had a painting exhibited in the Salon de Refuse's at the same exhibition. I had a painting in the 2004 Moja Juried Art Exhibition. The juror was Colin Quashie.
